Elizabeth DeRobertis, MS, RD, CDN, CDE
Elizabeth is a registered dietitian with a Masters Degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. Elizabeth is the Director of Nutrition & Wellness Services at Scarsdale Medical Group, and has helped thousands of people to lose weight and keep it off. Elizabeth has helped clients to lose from 10 – 150 pounds, and has dramatically improved the quality of their lives.
Elizabeth is also a Certified Diabetes Educator and nationally recognized speaker on the topics of diabetes and weight management, addressing audiences of over 500 people. She has worked with celebrities and has been featured on national television shows such as Dateline, Food Network: Unwrapped, CBS Live at 5, The WE Network: New Year New You Makeover, and on the program No Place Like Home. Elizabeth has been featured as a nutrition guru on websites such as Slim-Fast, iVillage, eDiets, WebMD, Shape and Walmart. She is frequently quoted in the media, and her clips can be seen at www.nutritionistliz.com/media. Elizabeth is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, American Association of Diabetes Educators, and the American Diabetes Association.
Heather S. Zeitz, RD, CDN
Heather is currently Vice President of Health Programming and Content for Alere Health, a national health management organization. Heather uses her extensive experience changing health behaviors to oversee Alere’s website programs and content. Prior to her current role, Heather had spent over ten years counseling individuals and teaching weight management, cancer prevention and general wellness programs through her private practice.
Heather continues to consult for various organizations to develop and implement wellness programs, present at events, contribute to publications and consult on product development initiatives (ranging from packaged goods to health services). Her previous experience also includes work at Rockefeller University and Cornell Medical Center, where she specialized in clinical nutrition, outpatient education, accreditation and research.
Heather received her Bachelor’s degree in nutrition at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. and completed her graduate training at Cornell Medical Center in New York, N.Y. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Dafna Chazin, MS, RD, CDN
Dafna is a registered dietitian and New York State licensed Certified Dietitian – Nutritionist (CDN). Dafna gained extensive experience in both clinical and community nutrition over the past 6 years, focusing her work on prevention and management of chronic diseases through dietary lifestyle changes. She has treated both adults and children with various health conditions by creating personalized nutrition therapy plans that meet their dietary needs.
Dafna works as a freelance dietitian, offering a myriad of services to her clients including individual and group counseling, healthy meal delivery, and dining out coaching. In addition, Dafna is a culinary expert and has created and conducted healthy cooking seminars for both individuals and large groups. She is currently writing her first cookbook, which emphasizes boosting the nutritional content of meals without compromising flavor. Dafna holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and completed her clinical training at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Elizabeth Pecoraro, MS, RD, CDN
Elizabeth is a registered dietitian with a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Physiology from Columbia University. Throughout her time at Columbia she has acted as a consultant for food pantry staff at The United Way of NYC; as a nutrition counselor for AIDS and cancer patients at God’s Love We Deliver; and as a pediatric nutrition counselor at Viva Nutrition, a private practice serving a largely Hispanic community in the Bronx. She has also worked as an Exercise and Health teacher for 6-8 year old children at ESF Summer Camps in Greenwich, CT.
Currently, Elizabeth is the Director of Nutrition at the Hartsdale location of the Columbia Doctors Medical Group where she provides individual nutrition counseling to patients with numerous health issues including, diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, celiac disease, eating disorders and obesity. She is also a senior health coach for the Take Shape for Life: Medifast meal replacement program. Elizabeth is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Greater New York Dietetic Association, and Nutrition Entrepreneurs Dietetics Practice Group.
